Salon Policies
At House of YOKO every detail is designed to give you the highest level of care. To ensure that your experience — and that of all our guests — remains serene, restorative, and fair, we kindly ask that you review our salon policies.
Bookings
All appointments must be pre-booked, either online or by calling the salon during business hours. A 50% deposit is required to secure every service.
Deposits
Deposits are non-refundable but transferable. If you reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit will move with you. No-shows will be charged the basic full price of the intended service.
Important for U.S. clients: we are located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Deposits cannot be refunded for bookings made in error due to location oversight.
Hair Extensions
Head Spa and Scalp Treatments cannot be performed on clients with extensions, as these interfere with cleansing and massage. However, treatments are highly recommended post-extension removal to rebalance the scalp’s microbiome and restore hair strength.
Before Your Appointment
For Signature Head Spa, Follow-up Treatments, or House of Yoko Experience, please avoid shampooing for 48 hours beforehand. This allows us to accurately assess your scalp.
Please note: Prices listed online are starting points. Final service cost may vary depending on scalp/hair condition, density, or length, as additional product or treatment steps may be required.
Children
To preserve the peaceful environment of the salon, children are not permitted. Exceptions are made for Head Spa/Scalp Treatments for clients 13 years and older.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Changes can be made online up to 48 hours before your appointment. After this window, your deposit will be retained as a service fee.
Arrival & Tardiness
Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow time for parking, settling in, and consultation forms.
More than 15 minutes late: service may be shortened, with full price still charged.
More than 30 minutes late: service cannot be provided, and the deposit will be forfeited.
No Shows
Clients who fail to attend without notice will be charged the full base price of their intended service.
